In my church when a baby is born they are presented to the congregation and given a name and a blessing. Little Liam was blessed on July 3rd and most of his uncles and his two grandpas got to help his daddy give the blessing.

On Monday was the 4th of July. We had a quick breakfast of cinnamon cake and yogurt. Then made our way to the Summerlin Patriotic Parade that is just a few blocks from our homes. On the way I took a tumble with little Dan in my arms and am still sporting the bruises from it. Luckily Dan wasn't hurt at all.
The parade was crowded as usual and the weather was hot but the kids had a blast. Here are some pictures:

For the rest of the day we relaxed, cooled off and had a BBQ in the late afternoon.
Then as the sunset, Tony went out and got some fireworks and we set them off in the front yard. After that we drove up to one of the hills on the outskirts of town and watched some of the big fireworks.

Holidays are always more fun with kids. I'm glad they were here to celebrate.
